vanishing coolant

hello all, my 87 turbo eats coolant. about every 2days i put in about a cup of coolant back in. i am not leaking any. when my car is warming up i have alot of smoke, looks white. i did that test were you pull the fuse and remove radiator cap. no coolant came out.

where else can coolant go? thanks

You're losing coolant, you have no leaks, and the car is making white smoke? It sounds like it's being burned by the engine. Bad sign. Leaking coolant seal/s. Have someone knowledgeable check it out for you. If the seals are leaking, the whole engine has to come apart to replace them. Start saving.

time for a rebuild with a port job....the engine needs to come apart so you might as well rebuild.....Same EXACT THING happened to me....I wish I had the money for the port job though.....oh well start saving and good luck. BTW I went with a factory rebuild that came with a 1 year unlimited mile warranty......$4000 bux installed i was and have been broke ever since.

You can drive it for a while but be prepared to be stuck on the side of the road one day.

Save for a rebuild or a Turbo conversion hehehe.

A cheap method is the CNC block weld trick.
www.rotaryresurrection.com has the way to do it.

I don't do this because I want to sell the engines as usuable cores.
