Are you kidding? It would be an easy job to do yourself. Get new silicone vac line and if you think you'd have any trouble with routing them, do it smart and do it one at a time. Or, just do a full emissions removal and get rid of most all of them.

Super easy DIY buy couple feet of silicone "vac" line you will need 2 sizes from what I remember. Just replace them one at a time take your time and you will be good to go.

No, let me do it. I'll only charge you $300.

You can get 10' of colored silicon vacuum hose for $20 from Hose Techniques if memory serves me. You removed 1 old rubber vacuum line, cut the same length of silicon line, slip it on, repeat with every vacuum line you see. It doesn't really require any knowledge, just don't break any of the vacuum nipples for plastic parts.

Yes, please please please do this yourself. Heck, it's freaking hose. Go down to your local auto parts store and give them a hose from your car to compare it to. Super cheap and easy. Now, if you want some cool looking hose, check out the website that has been provided. Nice thing about doing stuff yourself, you feel good about it and call tel people that you did it instead of blowing 400.00 and having someone replace some hoses. Take it slow and steady, one hose at a time.

If you pay someone to do this job, you need to promptly thereafter sell your car due to the fact that you don't deserve to own a rotary.

To be honest, I'm having trouble visualizing how even a dealer could justify charging 400 dollars for this.. it's going to be a two to three hour job, assuming you've never taken off your upper intake/throttle body before.. it'd be less than a 45 minute job for me to do on a car with emmissions, WELL less than 30 minutes for my car Do it

I concur with everyone above, just do it yourself. Its simple as hell, pick up some zipties to secure the lines while you're at it. If you can't change vacuum lines, you shouldn't really own an RX-7 unless you plan on paying someone to work on your car all the time..

But all that's about to change. "

I hope that if thats about to change your gonna do it yourself because if your paying 400 just for vac lines then damn wait till you get slapped with a bill to put in a upgrade turbo on top of the price of the turbo. Im N/A but i just bought new headers and and test-pipe for $200, what im trying to say is if your gonna mod its not worth it to spend money for 0000000hp and you can save $380 by doing it yourself. HAHA i only spent $485 on my rex

quit off just DO IT

Yes, do it yourself. Given, it is a bitch because usually the old ones are dry and brittle and really stubborn, but just do it yourself. I got pissed after about 10, but thats 10 more closer to having an actual idle (Idle? Whats that?).

Even if they are dry and brittle, cut those ******* off with a razor, its cake. If I were you, I would just rip out the vacuum rack and make it alot easier of a job, but I dont know if you'd wanna do that..

OK in my defense. I am very experiences with cars, tho i am new to rotary, i am worried about ******* up the check valves. my friend's shop is very experienced with rotary. plus i wasn't sure how difficult of a job it really was. I tired to help my friend with his FD and was a bitch... broke so many damn check valves. I'll do it myself, just take things very slow. Also what emissions removal can i do?

Remove the Vac rack, EGR, BAC, ACV, split air pipe, do the TB mod, remove the OMP and premix, etc.. There's so much that you can remove it isnt even funny.

It also isn't funny when you remove a little TOO much and then fight idle problems for a while

my car is idling at 1200 rpms. It sometimes will drop down to about 800 rpms. that and i think i'm getting some mis firing. its making a nice little sputtering. its kinda hard to describe. What do you guys think? I'm just running a Apexi N1. everything else is stock. Though i do have a vac line that has a screw in it. But i can't figure out for the life of me where it goes. So where down towards the firewall right in the middle of the engine bay.
