Vacuum Hose questions

I have a couple of pics to show.

They are attached pics. The first one I would like to know what it is and where the tube goes? I can't seem to find where it goes.

The second one, I would like to know where the red tube goes and what that thing is in the pic circled in white.

Thank you very much guys!

-Josh

The first pictue is the double throttle diaphram which should get a vac hose on it and the other end of that vacuum hose goes to the water thermo valve in the second picuture (yellow plasitc job iwth two nipples on its bottom side.

The hose in your hand in the second picture seems to have a plastic nipple broken off in it. That hose goes to the water thermo valve on the bottom.

There's pictures of these items in the free online Factory Service Manual in the FUEL section.

Two vac hose go to the water thermo valve. One feeds it vacuum. The other is a outlet to feed the double throttle diaphram. There is a green/white check valve b/t the double throttle diaphram and the water thermo valve.

Prior to fixing/messing with these items, put a vacuum hose on the double throttle diaphram and suck. It should hold vacuum and pull on the lever attached to the double throttle diaphram. IF it does not hold vacuum .........forget connecting the vac line to it. It's done got itself broke.
