Does this sound right to anybody?

About 6 months ago, my TPS sensor went, and for the longest time i couldn't figure out what was wrong with the car. In my quest to fix the problem, somewhere along the line i disconnected and blocked off the three vacume lines that go into the plenum. I think one of them is the EGR, but my valve is siezed anyway, so i wasnt too worried. Firstly, what are the other two lines. After i had installed the new TPS, everything was much better. The car has idled better and smoother than ever before, runs and revs fine, makes great power, and im getting DOUBLE the fuel milage?? I dont get it...

 

cold one or more of them gone to the emissions equiptment?

 

hey, i think i got the same problem, my tps sensor is bad, my car is a mazda rx7 91 , what where the problems you felt with the bad tps, you just bought another one or you can fix it??

 

a bad TPS can completely destroy the cars performance. it will have a wild idle speed and jerk like crazy when you shift. also bad on the mpgs...

 

so it will consume more gas per galons?? i scanned my car and appear tps problems, my car has this problems: hesitation in 4000+ rpm , when i turn off the car it really turn off in 2 seconds after, and i have to control the pedal cause my car turn off when i dont hit the gas.... that problems are for the tps too?? have sense?

That screams electrical all over it.

4k hesitation is most likely grounds,

Car not turning off is a problem with ignition. When the car is in the off position the ignition should not be powered. OR you have a ton of carbon and its keeping the engine running

 

You might try posting what year/model your car is...just a thought. The vacuum line layout varies.

If it's a S4 NA, then you just unplugged vacuum to the EGR, switching solenoid, relief solenoid, anti-afterburn valve and the oil injector bleeds. Unplugging things and then asking what they are later is very very bad, grab the FSM and read up on what you're doing. At the very least, plug your oil injectors back in (largest vac line).
