Well, last night i took my TB off, and i think i hooked something up backwards/flipped

On the secondary throttle plates there is a diapham connected on the front of the TB ... the vac hose runs under the TB Elbow and has a green delay valve built into the the vac line, it than runs to the back of the throttle body and connects to a yellow water thermo valve from there there is a seperate line that runs under the upper intake manifold (connected to the UIM... which way do these Vac lines connect?

Because my idle still will not drop below 2000 rpms.. and i'm really confused..

I took the TB off, put everything back together without changing anything, and now the Idle is all messed up

Ok, i'm still trying to solve my own problem..

What is the Fast idle adjustment? maybe when i took the TB off, i messed something up? possible bent something?

I did however get the idle down to 1200, which is alot better than 2000-2200 rpms

On that water thermo switch that the delay valve/diaphram go to.........just swap the two at the thermo switch.

You might have gotten the order of the hoses on the front of the body wrong. Only one of the nipples is vacuum on the front of the body. The lower one. It should go to the vacuum rack on the left side of the engine.

On the back of the throttle body are two nipples for the Purge valve. One directly above the other. Did you leave on off?

I'd take a look at the online factory service manual at http://www.iluvmyrx7.com and look and download the FUEL section for how to adjust the fast idle cam/screw etc.

And think about the black spacer b/t the throttle body and the dynamic chamber. Did you accidently flip that spacer 180 degrees???? That would change/mess up the idle.

thanks, i was looking for that online manual.. i'll check it out..

no i didnt flip the spacer.. i've only managed to get the idle down to 12-1300... i am going to try some other stuff.

Non of the throttle body plates seem to be sticking or binding, the throttle cable is just like it was, not binding or holding the TB open

I left the TPS on the TB when i removed it, so it shouldnt have become misadjusted...right?
