Question Vaccum nipples good enough to hold coolant/engine temps?

I am plugging off my thermowax lines, just wondering if standard vaccum nipples will hold the temp and pressure of the coolant. I'm using them to plug the neck above the water pump and the one on the top of the motor towards the flywheel.

i used the right size nipple and a small clamp. first time no clamp was used and they eventually came off. With clamp no problems at all.
