Well this is my prob i need to know what hoses to check, and where they are, I mean theres like 8000 hoses under the hood so which ones do i focus on for vaccum leaks??

The ones that usually leak are brittle and cracked due to heat, so near the fuel injectors: metering oil vacuum spider, air blead hoses etc... but general only if someone has been messing around in there

I assume you are doing this because your idle is rough
and in that case you should also check the intake piping, this can be ripped and leaking, also you BPAV may be sticking so you might want to check that out too.

But without more info on what the problem is I can't get more specific then that

did you make that intercooler bypass? its the only way you will be able to see the vaccum spider from the top....basically spray all the line you see with carb cleaner just get a bunch of it, it won't hurt your engine and its pretty cheap

one thing to check that's pretty easy is the spark plug wires...real easy to mix up, real easy to fix.

if you're going to be monkeying around with the vaccuum lines, you might as well replace them with silicone ones (remove one, replace one...don't remove all and pray to god you get them back in the right places).

very good advice... take one off and replace it before the next one is removed.

Cool guys thanks so far for the info, yeah sorry i wasent more specific on my prob
First off its an 87 TII 104k on engine previous owner did F*** around a bit with some stuff so i cant really tell if maybe he caused this idle issue
The prob is that the car dies after its completly warmed up when first started in the mornign the car will idle to 1500k then gradually go down and just die. So basically the car runs but it wont idle at all.
Black rx7 i like your idea im gonna try it tomorrow ( i cant see the car till then)
GLHS, I'll defetly will use that method for checking the hoses

Look here, it isn't your RX but it is a good starting point, it gives some insight into the idle system
