How about the 2 vacuum lines that go to the water thermo valve that is on the firewall side of the throttle body? Does one of the hoses have a one way valve on it?
I bought this motor partially disassembled and its really tough tracing down all these vac lines.

Does your double diaphragm have one hose or two connected to it. If it is only one then it should connect into a T coupler that is located behind the throttle body below a plasic spigot(white in color) which has multiple nipples(the diaphragm hose w/ valve connects to a T coupler which connects to the spigot nipple which is farthest from the throttle body or the nipple closest to the firewall) which is connected to the back(top) of the throttle body(between the firewall and throttle body nearer the passenger side).

FSM, Chapter 4A, page 56. (See sig. for FSM download links)
Shows picture of double throttle system. Vaccum atuator attached to double throttle plates gets vacuum from throttle body, then water valve, then water valve to check valve, then to actutator. Automatic tranny cars are a little different.
The system essentially opens the outer secondary butterflies slowly when you open the throttle enough to open the main secondary butterflies when the car is cold.
