The V-Mount has begun!
Well, as some of you may know, my BNR stage 4 met a fairly spectacular death while I was tangling with a Skyline in Phoenix a few months ago. After I got the car back to Tucson, my friends Moremazda and Trevor decided that it was time to go all out on my car. So I bought a T-61, HKS mani, and a bar and plate core to start a custom V-Mount setup. I am going to be posting up the progress for those that are interested. Here is the start:

Since I am using a K2RD Rad, I need a REALLY BIG HOLE!!!!

Hey now, I did not expect this.
Really good cuts very clean tig welds looks nice. This should turn out really good if what I see is a indication of what to come.
That RAD is huge and very well planed out fitment. Should be among the cleanest I have seen yet.
I had rust in the same area of the frame rail. Pay attention to that maybe hit it with some POR15 right now. It will eat into the core support on your.

Very nice work, but I don't see any TIG welds except for those on the rad or intercooler.
Anyone using TIG for this kind of fabrication just has something to prove anyway. 
What are you going to do for the hood and fan?

No matter what you weld tig is the best weld. The welds holding the brackets down for the oil cooler looks very tight and pudled with low heat disapation. Looks more tig on my monitor then a gas mig. The top corner has a bit of browning posible sign of mig. If it was miged they are very good.

Well, the fan is a source of some speculation right now, because space is at a premium. I was looking at dual Spals which are very thin, but only clock in at a cumulative CFM of 1800. Or I can do a pusher/puller config with larger fans, but I dont want to block up the radiator for natural airflow. So any suggestions are greatly appreciated in this area.

of course! I aint afraid of 400 wheel on stock ports, hell, 500 has been done on stock ports. Once the motor goes (and it WILL go eventually), then I will have a billy-badass motor built.
