Using s5 A/C compressor in s4

I have a known good compressor from a s5 and I am wondering if it is a direct swap into my s4. I know there are two different styles of compressor, and they are both the same (nippondenso, I'm pretty sure.) I know I need new soft hoses, new reciever/drier, etc. I saw something talking about the sanden's where you had to switch out the compressor head or something like that.

Look in the FSM's There are two compressors fitted. One is nippondenso, the other is sanden. The compressor type has a different hook up to the hoses, but the hoses hook up to the same point on the rest of the plumbing for the system. If you want to switch between them I believe all you need to do is use the hose for the compressor you are using. Make sense?

IOW, use sanden hoses if you are using a sanden compressor and use nippondenso hoses if you are using a nippondenso compressor. the hoses screw the same and I think the rest of the system is the same.

Please do replace the dryer, but take the old one with you to match. You have a pretty good chance of getting the wrong one if you don't.

Did you read my post at all? I clearly said that they were the same compressors (nippondenso's) from different series car's and I needed to know if they would fit exactly. Don't get me wrong, I appreciate you trying to help, but please read the post first.

I read your post. I have now reread your post. It is poorly written and makes little sense. I am still unable to make out your question. I answered the question better than it was asked.

Perhaps you can restate the question a little more succinctly. Perhaps you are drunk and can be more polite when you sober up.

Help yourself next time.

How is that poorly written? In fact, I don't think it can be any more clearly written than that. The only thing poorly written is that I meant to say that there are two styles of compressors and the one I'm swapping in is the same as the one already in my car. I mentioned the sanden because I saw someone selling a sanden for s4's that said it could be used in s5's if you switched the heads. Your answer still completely ignored my question (written in the title and the first sentance of the post) of whether there was a difference in fittings or operation between s4's and s5's.

I inspected it closer, and it won't work. The connections on the compressor are totally different.
