Question Used door handle - can it be re-keyed?

Driver's side door handle broke. Going to pick up a good used one. Can it be re-keyed to fit my keys, or will I have to carry an extra key?

Thanks for the help.

if u open the lock, ull see that its composed of lil teeth.
Using trial and error, u can switch the position of the teeth so that it can fit ur key.

Open up a lock and u'll see what i mean

If you choose to have it rekeyed, yes a locksmith can do that. Its approx 15-30USD.

Uhm... as long as its just the door handle , and not the lock itself, just take the lock cylinder out and replace it with your original. Ive done it a few times, because our stock door handles are piece of garbage pot-metal and always break.
