Used car problems...

I just bought an 86, iam having alot of problems with it,
it can start yes but after i shut it off it has a hard time
starting again, but at times wont, i noticed i need an
oil change (has none) needs coolant changed, but am
not to sure on what else i would need for my car any
advice on this? i hate how some people treat thier cars

It is generally advised to change all fluids, spark plugs, fuel filter, etc. I find the list of maintenance items in the Haynes manual helpful.

Have you had a mechanic look at it? Not being able to start up again after shutting it off might mean poor engine compression (very bad). If the mechanic says it's in really bad shape you may want to sell it and buy a better one. It will be cheaper in the long run.

Their's a good possibly that your car is flooding. It's usually caused by leaking injectors. Do a search for "flooding" on here and you'll come up with some answers.
