Anything that gets held in by screw breaks at the point the screw goes in I've noticed.

Most of that stuff is what happens when you let your car bake in the summer heat. I'd invest in an rx7 carpet dash cover from Victoria british, a tint job, etc..

I'd say the #1 thing is the engine wiring harness managers (no big woop), paint above the exhaust pipe, hatch struts, power window linkage, etc..

All the switch mount posts on the inside of the dash cluster.
This kind of thing is normal for >10 year old cars.
By the way, I have a great fix – Bondo Marine Epoxy Putty Stick. You knead a small snake, wrap it around the post to beef it up. A whole new post tip can be formed with a short piece of tube (cut from a radio antenna) filled with epoxy putty. You mold the hole with a nail while it’s still soft.
You can reinforce any interior plastic with this stuff. Just mold a patch on the back side. If it breaks off later, rebond it with super glue..

Wowow, a thread from the grave, but it sure made me look back and realize how much I've replaced/spent on my Rex (in no particular order):

Power antennae
Clutch
Brakes
Door handles
Thermostat housing
Almost all rubber hoses in engine bay (kinda expected, but...)
Thermostat, O2 sensor, various caps and sensors

and I will need new oil lines and new rotors (just the rear ones, but I'll change them all with slotted anyway)

...and I still havent had the time to fix the wiper switch

Everything works fine now, hope it stays that way for a couple of months

Hey, I've owned three (one was a parts car) and all three had no comp on rear rotor but I don't see that listed. How about making "rear apex seal" an option?

1. Wiper switch (or its internal relays actually)
2. Logicon
3. Clock/idiot light assy (cold solder joints)
4. CPU (controls horn, idiot lights etc) cold solder joints.
5, The circuitry in the heater/air conditoning mtr housing(causes low fan speed).
6. The differentials front mount (only a gun pointed to my head will get me to jack my car using this point).
7. The a/c relay located in front of the radiator.
8. Acv on turbos (the switching diaphram gets cooked making it non-funcitonal. N/a's last forever).
9. Turbo's sliding roof (learned early not to open it fully and how to press down on it to make it shut).
10. Shifter bushings. The turbo's shifter was a guessing game until I put two conical bushings out of two spare transmissions in it. Used two top conical bushings salvage from the spare transmissions. Shifts like a champ now. (gonna buy the real bushings....soon).
But kudos to the ECU and the pop-up head lights that have never given any sign of trouble, never ever.
