Upgrading exhaust system

I know this has been asked a lot before but...

Im upgrading my exhaust soon and Im getting stuff from Mazdatrix Ill be getting the RB headers and RB Y-piping+muffler, they also "suggest" buying the catlytic converter with the headers but even with it theres a chance it wont pass emissions, so I was wondering can I use the stock catalytic converter to bolt in the RB y-piping to RB headers or do I need to buy there $450 catlytic converter

the stock main cat won't bolt up. its like 2 inches short, or something.

you could either get their cat, or RB's presilencer that bolts up to it. or, you could go to a muffler shop and have them weld a peice onto the stock cat.

I am going to get the RB presilencer and get a CAT made up for bolt-in use
