upgraded to an aluminum flywheel....

and im encountering some things... the clutch is an exedy stage 2, and the pressure plate is stock, all of this started happening after i had the flywheel installed and before it was a racing beat lightened steel flywheel... my clutch used to engage and disengage when its halfway down..now it engages and disengages when the pedal is higher up...kinda acting like a stock clutch...and when i drive my car and decided to smash on the pedal, the revs go higher, but the car doesnt go any faster then it should be going... like somethings slipping...is something wrong or do i just need to upgrade my clutch or is it just the way it is and i have to do more pedal work to keep my clutch from slipping if it is my clutch

heres a vid: sry for my poor recording, kinda hard to drive and hold the camerabut u can mostly tell by the sound of the engine

It's pretty damn hard to tell by the video what you are talking about, however, an aluminum flywheel shouldn't have any different symptoms than a steel one. If the mechanic got any oil, brake/clutch fluid, or grease on anything it could cause it to slip. Or if the flywheel had a bad finish on the face of it. Who makes the flywheel you bought? Did you see the surface of the flywheel when you got it? How was it?

flywheel should not be smooth per say.

Something is wrong with it. Take it back and have the mechanic drive it with you in it. Im guessing the fork was not installed properly

1. Adjust the clutch pedal as per FSM specs.
2. You're supposed to break in a clutch with a couple hundred miles before you romp on it. I wouldn't be surprised if you overheated and glazed the surface of your new flywheel.
