upgrade turbo?

hey all, been speaking with the guys from bnr turbochargers up in birmingham, they are very helpful and i just wanted to run their advice by you all. i am currently interested in purchasing their stage 1 turbo upgrade(300 at the rear wheels @12-13psi). my current mods are mid-pipe, cat-back, intake, walbro 255lph fuel pump, malpassi bdfpr, and wires. i asked them what additional goodies i would need to purchase to run the turbo safely. they said 680 secondaries, a turbo inlet duct, and retarding the timing by 5-7 degrees. and that was it! let me know if this sounds safe. if it is i'm all about it!
thanks, josh

You don't need a new TID unless you are getting a different housing. BNR also modifies you existing housing so you can re-use your current TID. It is cheaper too.

You will need guages (a/f and boost) for sure. As for the 680, they may do the job, but that is somewhat risky. Go w/ 720's (or even bigger) if you can. i would do 680 pri and 720 sec. Oh yeah, you need an AFC (or similar) to control the higher flowing injectors (your car may stumble slightly even w/ just the 680 sec w/o an AFC).

What about retarding the timing? Is that necessary?
