ok so i just put my gas tank back on after cleaning out the two year old gas, and the car runs sort of.

It will run but unless i press the gass it will die, but if my foots on the gas it will run forever.

there are some sputtering noises comming from my exhaust but i looked under the car and i dont think my cat is hooked up all the way to the exhaust header so thats probablly that.

I also hear what i think is engine knock (never heard engine knock it sounds kind of like someones hitting a rubber mallet against the housings but from inside the engine)

and when i rev to 3500 it it jus sputters and falls to about 3200 and it wont excede 3500.
does anyone know why any of these could be happeneing? Thanx and sorry if these are "noob" questions.

 

Vacume leaks, and other problems, dunno about the knock.

 

Ill check the vaccume hoses. I was also told my TPS may be outta wack. I'm planning on replaceing my fuel filter. Before I waste my time i think ill do a compression test to see if I have a mojor problem. Any other suggestions? THANX
