Update on Nodes FC

Well I took her to SevenSpeed today to get looked at.

It was being a PITA when I tried to start it, white smoke when it was warming up, and it stalled out a lot (its an auto for now), and I had to press in the gas to get it to start and let her warm up for a while. After that no problems whatsoever.

Well once I got down to Washington, Pa, George/Exit13B adjusted the idle using some TPS lights. And then it started nicely and didnt search for idle as much. Although my cat is pretty clogged which is partially to blame for the searching I think he said. I forget
Then I looked around, there was a really nice blue supra outside, and a big HP FD and some other cars. A real nice looking cobalt blue FD inside and as usual the cosmo front clip
I was told the whirring/vacuum noise I heard at high RPMs was the stupid auto tranny, and that my door handle wasn't fixable, so I have to replace it.
Then I left and my dad made me drive him to a couple places to check up on his business. And next a trip to advanced auto. I got oil (Castrol GTX 20W50), sparkplugs, oil filter, oil tray for changing it, some garage towels, a bottle of Marvel Mystery Oil, a couple bottles of brake cleaner, and thats it because I spent all of my money on paying back my dad for registration, paying for insurance, and reimbursing my mom money for letting me use her credit card to buy a set of stock length NGK sparkplug wires, and a badass MazdaSpeed Keychain (its #2 in the picture) from RP (rx7.com if you didnt know)
Advanced Autoparts didn't have any Simple Green

Anyways I would've cleaned the tar sealant stuff out of the AFM today (reason its shitty before being warmed up, and what I got the brake cleaner for), but it was raining almost all day (reminds me I need new wipers and some rain-x). And I'm gonna change plugs after I ATF it (didn't remember to buy any, so I'll borrow money to get some and do my magic).

And does anyone know if the ATF trick will pollute my oil? Cause I'm wondering if it would be fine to change oil now and ATF later, or if it somehow (i dunno) contaminates it.

Anyways thats all for now, and here are the pictures

id say wait and change oil afterwards to be on the safeside, no reason to change it before the atf.

I need to change the O2 sensor after ATFing also
work work work!
I guess I'll change the oil and plugs tomorrow after work, and just put the old plugs in when I ATF it.

And I'm going to ask my friends stepdad (used to do bodywork for a living and owned his own garage) if he can help me w/ the dent and restoring the paint a little.

yeah use old plugs for the atfing, and i still say changing the oil afterwards would be a better idea. if the o2 sensor was new id say throw in an old crappy one for doin it, but since it prolly needs to be replaced go for it already. you better start her up at night though cause its gonna smoke like a bitch

i know, im gonna let it sit for a day or so, and then start her up at about midnight or 1am or so.
And yeah I bet a new O2 sensor would be good

No7Yet: I'm going to most likely get a silencer and keep the clogged "good for the enviroment, bad for my car" catalytic convertor around for emissions.

Hey Node... I'm not far away from you, over here in delightful Wheeling (land of the riced-out domestic compact car...)
Haven't been to Sevenspeed yet, but I intend to get over there sometime in the near future.
Have fun smoking out the neighbors.

The endtimes are nigh, Node has an FC Wee, now you get to do all the weird religious rituals we all do

The ATF shouldn't get into the oil, and if it does it wouldn't hurt anything. I've put ATF in my oil before to help seal leaky O-rings (durn water-oil cooler... but that's a 1st-gen thing you guys don't have to worry about ) and Denny puts MMO in his oil all the time, it's very similar in composition to ATF.

I put all manner of weird brew in my oils, actually... a cup of ATF in the tranny before I fill it with gear oil (poor man's Redline) and a little ATF and a little power steering leak-sealer in the oil (again, those durn oil cooler O-rings you guys don't have to deal with), special LSD goo in the diff, special pink "stuff" in the coolant ( ), etc etc
