Talking Update on my update: Car not starting...OR IS IT

my previous thread started here:
https://www.rx7club.com/2nd-generation-specific-1986-1992-17/update-car-now-dies-when-when-warmed-up-please-help-711699/

OH F*CKING HALLELUJAH! Car turned over!

I jumped the starter with wires from the battery down to the starter. Both Positive and negative at first. Then I disconnected the negative, starter clicked. Reconnected the negative and unhooked the positive jumper, Car turns over. So.... I have a bad ground somewhere between the battery and the starter.

Here is my question. Would it be OK if I just ran a permanent jumper from the battery ground to the starter? Also if I can jump it, what gauge wire should I use?

well I mean. I guess there is no real "ground" on the starter. What Im gonna do is just run a new ground to the engine. I jumped from the battery ground to the engine and it turn over real nice. So yeah, Im just gonna do that. Any suggestions as to where I should run the new ground to?

Your starter should ground through the trans/engine. Make sure your thick gauge ground from the battery finds its way to the engine. It should also bolt to the fenderwell on the way down.
