I had a problem getting the front rotors off a car that had been sitting for a few years. The aluminum hub had corroded and seized inside the rotor. Try spraying contact cleaner inside the rotor around the hub. The contact cleaner is a trick that is often used on Land Rovers when the alloy wheels sieze to the hubs. Will probably require a lot of striking with a large hammer!

also, won't heating it cook my bearing?
will hitting it hard damage my wheel bearing?

TIA

on my 88 vert, I am doing the same minus the hoses, and I got the 2 screws off but the rotors will NOT come off the hub, any ideas?
my car has been on jack stand for a month :-(
I tried lightly hitting with a 3 lb hammer, no luck.
help!
actually the one rear brake pad bracket had a rounded bolt... we had to take the entire hub to a machine shop, which dismantled it. As for the rest of the rotors, they've all been stuck, but a few swift whacks from the back of the rotor (took that damn dust shield off) and it popped right off...

They had a problem getting the screws out on my brake rotors, so they used an air-powered vibrator tool that blasted them loose. Pretty cool. Might want to give that a try for getting the rotor unstuck.
