Unsure of what to do

Well I tried pull starting the car today, (87 GX) dropped the clutch at 40 km/h in 2nd gear. Kinda sounded like it started but it doesn't run under its own power...as soon as you clutch in it stalls. 2nd time we adjusted the timing, and used a propane torch on the plugs after cleaning them with gas. Went back out, this time it felt like it was running. But, it almost felt like a super limp mode. I couldn't accelerate at all, and there would be extermely loud pops that sound like gunshots coming out of the exhaust constantly. And it blows flames out the exhaust when cranking. Well, we checked the compression #1 rotor was 25, 10 and 10 (horrible), #2 was 20,20,20. Better, but still horrible. Basically the motors garbage because it wouldn't even run by pull starting. Now i'm unsure whether to rebuild my motor. Buy a rebuilt motor off my friend, or try to get rid of the car.

Any of your 3 choices could be the correct one, based on a number of factors. How many miles on the car; what shape the body and xmission are in; what shape the interior is in; stock or custom wheels and tires. Has the existing engine ever been rebuilt? Other than normal wear and tear causing the compression to erode has the car been treated well. You have to answer these questions yourself. The most important question...do you have a spare $3K to spend on this car?

I emailed the guy I got the car off of, the deal was I was to trade my Thunderbird for this piece of **** and its final once I get it running. I emailed him now hopefully he'll trade me his 1st gen instead.
Theres 284 XXX kms on the body, only a little bit of surface rust, tons of little dents everywhere...rusted sunroof with ******* bondo over the rust and paint it looks horrible, mismatched panels, don't even know about hte tranny as well. IMO the car has been treated like **** and I wanted to get it going again. Its nothing but a ******* problem now and I want to get rid of it. But on the other hand I really do wanna get it going. And no I don't, I've also got an 84' GSL-SE at work which is ******* mint besides a smelly interior and a fried ECU cause it was in a flood. Basically thats run and drive...and I've got a Renesis and 6speed swap for that for next winter.
