you're not quite getting what i'm saying even though it is rather moot.
the better way to describe it is a tunnel, say like a house attic, with one fan pulling air into the attic but not one pulling air out, most of the hot air still lingers.
you would be right IF there was something pulling air to the back of the car, but there isn't at slow speeds, where the engine bay is hottest.

I could technically put vents on the hood as well, that way only at low speeds does the engine vent and at high speeds it goes out the back.
Also the hood scoop would technically act like a chimney if you will.

most people put reverse ducted hoods for that reason in highly modded engines, it allows hot air to escape while not moving and at higher speeds it acts like a vacuum to pull hot air out of the bay.

ok, my thread has nothing to do with engine cooling, and more to do with preventing lift and reducing drag at high speeds....
and cowl induction works very well, which is why rasing the rear of the hood an inch is the most retarded mod ever, it isn't going to vent out the back, its going to be forced in!

Ever drive a VW Beetle above 70mph? They have a flat bottom like you are thinking, they want to fly away. You can just about turn the steering wheel back and forth and keep going where the body is pointed! There is more to aero improvement than smooth floor pans. You have to keep air from getting under the car if you can't start from scratch with the design of the car.
I'm not knocking your idea, hopefully just giving you some things you may not have thought of.

if it looks like it attaches to the bottom of the car, is made out of aluminum, and looks like an undertray - its the one.
