today i pulled the engine out of my vert(rest in peace baby) when i went to put it in the gxl i noticed that the brace under the motor mounts in the vert was not in the coupe so i called the kid i bought the shell from and he didnt seem to know what i was talking about i told him the sub frame crossmember that unbolts with 8 bolts and it fits under the chassis directly under the motor mounts was not in the gxl he said he never took any chassis brace out is this a vert only piece or do i need that sub frame. please help i dont wanna leave the motor outside on the lift but i also dont wanna damage the frame if the motor is in w/out the brace PM me pls

 

Verts have an extra subframe crossmember brace. You don't need to swap it over.

 

That's how the vert is only 1% less rigid than the coupe.....along with the top and other frame extra's.

 

yeah there is a ton of extra bracing in the vert, that's one of the pieces.

there's also double-thick floor pans, extra bracing under the fenders, etc...

the verts are pretty stiff cars!
