Trying to get my UIM off and it won't budge. I have the 4 nuts and 1 long bolt out. Also Have the one that holds the intercooler bracket off. The engine is sitting on 2x4 boards with my engine crane pulling on the rear hook on the UIM and it still won't budge. I've given it some taps with the hammer to see if it would come loose, but nothing. Any Ideas? All of the same bolts on my jspec engine made it come off with ease, but the USDM one just won't give.

 

got it. turns out the rubber looking tube that connected to BAC to the plastic tube from the turbo had hardened quite a bit. So much that it broke the plastic tube coming from the turbo instead of coming loose >.< ouch. Guess I'll have to fab something up for that.

 

Make sure that 90 degree hose under the UIM is off of the block, and everything, absolutely everything is disconnected. Then just work it from both sides and it should come loose.
