Ugly Hondas, big turns, fuel cut, and wire harnes - and "add coolant"-- All today!

Today I rigged a fuel cut for flood prevention. I am pulling code 11-- intake thermosensor and I think its causing the engine to run a bit rich, flooding the hell out of itself. I plan on wiring a delay to the fuel cut so its automatic instead of manual. FYI the fuel cut has eliminated my floods 100%!

Eliminated the entire stock radio harness today. It bugged the hell out of me. Big cluster-fichen of wires. Ran a hardwire and switched wire, grounded on the shifter mounts. Seems to be working ok. Ran new speaker wire, and RCA cables for the head unit and amps.

Removing the stock stereo wire harness eliminated the dificulty of installing the head unit (sans the mounting probs, as usual.) Will run a switched back to the antenna and get it working again.

---

I was on the Interstate today trying to relieve some stress and slowly this car pokes into my rearview mirror and then into that lovely blindspot. Its nigttime, so I don't know (or care) what type of car it is. So I floor it to get him out of my blind spot and before I know it I'm going 115, and hes going about 113, im inching him back into my rear view mirror. A nice big turn in the interstate slowed us bolth down. The turn is rated 35 (its where the interstate has to conform to an onramp) and I take it going about 95 (and never lose a big of control )I see him try to take it and nails into the shoulder at about 65 and slows down hella lot. All I could think is...wow. I pulled off at the next exit and he flew by in praise by signaling his hazards. It appeared to be one of those new hondas (shutter). Anyway he had it lowered as so I could tell.

Ever since I got that ticket for excessive speeding, I seriously do not like to do anything over 20 the speedlimit on surface roads. Its just not worth it when the insurance bill is due every other month.

On to the Question!

So I'm driving home, temp is at half-gauge like it has always been (before and after the efan mods.) I'm pulling a very small load (3k, 35mph) through a residential area and the "ADD COOLANT" buzzer and warning go off!? What the f.... Augh, it turns off a few seconds later after giving me a heart attack. This confuses the hell out of me beceause I just filled the coolant sys last week until it overflowed (onto the driveway mind you :/ ) So... whats the deal?

Also, what harnesses are under the auto-mirror switch/plate. 1) auto-mirror harness 2) security light 3) seatbelt sys harness, and one other one? Is it a light of sometype? Its ground works only when the parking lights are on. Turn on the headlights and the ground is broken, turn on the brights and the ground is back again. !? Turn off the lights and it has ground. Weird!

night all-- off to work.

The only other connector under there that I can think of is for the AAS.

As for your heart attack (we've all had it ) I'd suggest that you have an air bubble in your sys. Did you burp the sys after you filled it?

There's also a chance that your sensor is beginning to die...

I believe it's Auto Adjusting Suspension (but the wording could be different). Basically it allowed you to switch the suspension from normal to sport. I can't think of ever reading where somebody noticed the difference between the two modes.
I believe there should be a switch next to the alarm light (assuming you have the AAS).

Theres a few buttons for the AAS and like 'autoactive suspension' or somethign where the stock location for the coin holders is. The switch next to the alarm is for the optional fog lights

Did you fill the radiator or the overflow bottle? The warning is for the radiator being low.

That'll be for the S5's stock fog lights, which only run with the park lights on. Don't you have them?

The wire is for S5 fogs (I've got them) , although they run with the headlight's on, just not with the brights or parking lights on...I don't know much about the wiring (grounds and what-not) but I do know that they shut off when you go to anything but normal headlights...which kinda pisses me off...I'd like to be able to run them with the parking lights...

I cut the lead from the headlight switch to the foglight switch and ran a new lead from an ignition switched source.
Presto - daytime running lights!

The irony is we have a three car garage, one garage is the work garage (covered in oil) one is the tool bench, and one is storing a ford ranchero.

Outside we have a three car wide cement driveway 3 car lenghts long. The entire thing is covered in oil spots. Heh. need to buy oil out stuff.
