two problems: weird dying idle and heater
ok, so first, the heater
just in time for winter, my heater has decided to stop working, air still blows but it isnt cold. I know it worked over the summer, so it seems unlikely that my heater core is clogged. Does this soundly like i need to resolder my logicon? if so, please link me to a write up
second:
I believe that I have a fairly large vacuum leak. Sometimes the idle is normal, sometimes it pulsates and most of the time its high (2300 rpm). Sometimes, the engine just revs up and dies on start up (fine if you give it gas). Are these all caused by the vacuum leak?

I have something like the 2nd problem. it just got cold here (ohio), i dunno if that has anything to do with it, but lately when i start the car, it will start, rev to 3k, then go to 1.5k and sit for about 4-6 seconds, then just will die/stall. i can give the gas a lil push and keep the revs up, then it'll hold for a sec. and die again. it did it 4 times today before it stayed without me pushin the gas. i don't think it's a vacuum leak cause the car idles normal when it's warmed up, so i think it might have something to do with the cold weather, like at or below freezing.
btw, i was searchin to solve this and read messiah's post, thought it mighta been realated? thx

Hey, mine does the same thing, (killing herself on start up but running normal after she's warmed up) except I know it isn't due to cold because I live in South Carolina and she did it all summer long!
