two more issues with the car.. yea i searched

The first has been there for a while now, but inbetween my acuators and the exhaust manifold (stock) there is some blueish smoke rising out of the spacing between the two! I know its not residue on the engine burning becuase it happens as soon as you start the car, I doubt the manifold will get hot enoughe to burn **** in 3 seconds. If you rev the car, the smoke comes out more, it sounds like a manifold gasket leak to me... or even worse, the gasket is find but the block and or manifold is warped from overheating... causing the leak.

Finally, ever since I cleaned my BAC valve, I turn the car on when cold and it no longer goes to 3k rpm, but instead it goes to 2k and sits there for a long long time. Im thinking the BAC valve is stuck open or closed or some **** becuase I don't hear it clicking anymore.

Some good news... bought a brand new TPS sensor. Mine had the dead spots, and I didn't need a voltmeter to prove it.. old one was totall junk. I know this for sure now becuase when I put the new one on, no more jumpy idle, its steady for once, wich seams like a miracle.

I also tried unplugging the two air hoses from the AWS to wich looked like a switch that was leading into the manifold. I thought that this is probably the selenoid everyone is refering to that gets the car to 3k. I unplugged those two hoses and it didn't do anything at all, my idle was still at 2k.. I was hoping that it would go down becuase I figured the AWS was stuck open or some ****.

if anyone can give me some insight, I would appreciate it.

If the block or manifold are warped the easiest way to fix that is to have it machined so the gasket seals. If u wanna buy the block off plates for the motor so u can get rid of the bac.

U can get them here:

thx for the link there to the block off plates. The smoke also could be coming from the ACV as well... **** I don't know what the hell is leaking but I don't want to have to remove my engine to replace it. If I could only find my hanes.... oh well FSM's will have to do.

thx guys.

more details on the TPS. it really was a big difference, from what I thought were bad injectors to air leaks about a surging sputtering shitty idle, turned out to be the TPS as well. This also fixed the high RPM surging as well. too bad it wasn't so expensive. But at least this ones gonna last a long long time.

thx for the reply too btw.

hey sorry to be digging up a old post but im kinda getting the same problems with my manifold and gasket. could you let me know what you had to do to fix your problems. i pulled mine to do the exhaust ports, waitsgate port and now when i put it all back together im getting the smoke, and there is a leak between the manifold and gasket or gasket and block. any tips you could hand out is worth a shot if they worked for you. thanks
