What are these and where do they connect to?!

They look like the drainage hoses for your hatch...Never seen them under the car just loose like that before. Could be wrong but thats what they look like to me.

i think its the angle of the pictures, pour a little water in the pockets and see if it drains out, if the car has been neglected it might be a good idea to flush those with a hose to get them nice and clean

Yep, vert top drains. You should trim them down a bit. They shouldn't drag on the ground .
