twinturbo in FC

I just got a 90 non turbo that does not run, havnt messed with the motor yet but want to do a motor swap. i can get a turbo motor for 750 but am intrested in a more unique swap, i wanna run the FD twin turbo motor in my FC. I saw an FC with it done, but i think the guy got it done at a shop and he said it cost as much as a new FD. I think i can do it with a lot less money. Im more intrested in clearence issues. What do you guys think?

read the FAQ, it says the 13b-rew will not fit into an FC
if you wanna get crazy just drop a 20b in for 30k
or do what a lot of other people here have done and put in a 13bt motor and mod the hell out of it

read the FAQ, though, there's A LOT of information in it

Technically, yes you can put an FD 13B-REW into your car. You probably do not want to put that much time into the engine though.

If you can find it, the Cosmo 13B-REW will fit...at least that's what i'm told. It has the same mounting points at the 20B-REW which are the same as the 2nd gen cars. Why the FD had to be different I don't know...

^^ 13bRE and 20b do not have W or REW suffixes attached.

Parasite, I don't care what that site says, the 13B in the Cosmo is a 13B-RE, **** look on top of the intake manifold it says 13B-RE right on it dude. go to http://www.teamfc3s.org/forum/member...hp?img_id=4910 to check out a pic dude.

-EDIT-
better pic
http://www.teamfc3s.org/forum/member...hp?img_id=4929

And the easiest way to put a REW in your car is to get a REW that needs rebuilt and just use a FC intermediate(sp) housing that way everything will bolt up better.

Don't bother unless you have a Turbo II or the entire Turbo II drivetrain.

It's a royal pain in the *** no matter how you approach the project.
If you think you can do it for less, then you probably can't.

The official engine codes do have the "W" on the end. It signifies twin turbos, which both Cosmo motors have.

So what? How many manufacturers do you know that cast the entire engine code into the manifold? Mazda have been using the letters "RE" on the manifolds of many of their EFI engines for over 20 years. It's meaning should be obvious.
