Twin scroll solenoid.

Doing emissions removal on a 87 turbo and just wondering what solenoid needs to be kept....if any at all..? I thought the boost pressure or twin scroll solenoid needed to be kept but is that only on 89-91? Blah, im tired and my post may be a little confused, so excuse me for that. :P

Also, the line that comes off the intake to the solenoid rack....I assume can be capped off, correct?

the twin scroll solenoid should be kept for s4 turbos. there's not much point in removing it, it's there to improve low end torque. the s5 turbos have a different design that eliminates the twin scroll solenoid and actuator.

Yes, if you are using a stock turbo setup.

I got a BNR stage 2 and I got rid of the twin scroll actuator and removed the flap inside the exhaust manifold.
