Twin Scroll Flap

Hi

Im actually questioning the typ the twin scroll is working, because it is rpm controlled. ( below 2800 its closed, above 2800 its opened )
Im wondering if it might be better to have it boost controlled.
Im thinking of opening the flap when reaching a few psi (3-5) of boost.

Im thinking of that because I recognized that when Im boosting from below 2800 rpms there is a power increase when the flap opens, so when I have enough boost it should probably open earlier.

On the other Hand when Im cruising slightly above 2800 and Im flooring it, I have a bigger lag then when flooring below 2800. So the benefits of the closed flap is noticeable in response.
I already have the electronics for this. It only needs a mosfet a poti and a relay.

I want to try this soon, and I thought about asking you guys for your opinion.

An other thing is, when Im acceleration slowly in traffic , and I reach 2800 the flap opens and the exhaust gets very loud. It will stay closed until I boost it, if I do the mod.

Uhm what ?
I dont know what you are talking about.

I already have my solution, I thought about the behavier of it for example when shifting up during a pull.
If it may harm anything, or give disadvantages in some situations.
I think I just have to try....

well. it basically allows you to run a 2.5 exhuast all the way back to keep low profile. but when you get on the boost opens up that flap and its power!.
its friken great. buddy has one installed on his markIII jetta. and said we could do it on mine for less than 400$

I already got a 3 " turbo back, there is no need of any external flaps to gain power.
Im talking about the stock flap in the turbo manifold.
Its all about turbo response and back pressure generated by the turbo.
