Turning Kevin loose, need advise

'Bout to turn K-Landers loose on my 88 vert and swap in a TII. I expect superior workmanship, a much faster vert, and considerable oil leaks
Where did you guys who have done this pick up a new fuel pump? 'Search' seems to indicate a walbro 255 is the way to go, whos got 'em at a good price?
Also, the boost gauge..where did you folks install them on your dash? Any input appreciated!

I know, he's built 2 for me (one of them 3 times!) I'm just messin' w/ him. I think he's getting old and tired, usually has some colorful metaphor rebuke by now!

Wonder if I can bribe him to put me in front of jacobcartmill.......

Anything less than $200 is not a bribe - it's a tip..

you can get a Walbro 255 off ebay for 80-90 bucks...

Boost gauge... Most of us mount 'em on out pillars in a pod... don't know if a vert has a dirrerent a-pillar, but you should be able to make the pod work regardless.. I'd suggest getting a dual pod and putting a water temp gauge in it too.

kevin knows what he's doing with the motors, however, If I were you.. I'd spend the extra money and get the "master" kit from rotary aviation rather than the Basic kit that kevin usually gets from atkins. I just think its wise to replace ALL the internal parts on an engine with over 100K on it... (the BIG difference is that the basic kit doesn't come with the metal oil control rings, there is debate over reusing the old ones, but.. that one less worry!!)

MWpayne if you want to see one of Kevins 88 vert t2 swaps go look in his driveway. the red one with gun metal rims. If we can ever get the bitch to run right you might even see it driving down the road.

Kevin is a good guy. From what i've heard he is an excellent engine builder. I was showing some of his photo's to my boss aka: our engine builder and he said that by looking at the pictures alone it's quality work.

These fuel pumps are universal right? I look at ebay searches like this:

http://search.ebay.com/Walbro-255_W0...sortpropertyZ1

It has specific applications, but i think its the seller just trying to list as many cars as they can, thoughts?
