Turn switch plug/harness - S4 and S5

Are the S5 and S4 turn signal switches the same? Are the pins in the pluga the same? I know that that are not the same for the hedlight swithces...but the wires can be moved around in the harness plug, so that it will work.

If they are not the same, then does anyone have the 2 appropriate diagrams for changing the pis?
Thanks,

I have posted in the past the wires, I'll search and see if I can find the pictures.

what are you trying to do, a S4 switch in a S5 car or visa versa?

Hmm, I know I have the digram to convert a S4 harness to a S5 switch, but let me look and see if I have it the other way.

You do know you will also have to swap the gauge surround, as a S4 switch won't mount in a S5 surround.

I'll look in my piles of stuff when I go in the shop this week, I probably have a S5 turn signal switch around.

You confirmed your old one is bad???

I lost both my left and right directionals. The brights and hazzards still work.
They stopped working right after I was doing some work on the guage cluster, so I must have dropped or hit, or done something to upset the switch. Whatever it was, I can't remember doing anything to it that would have damaged it like this.

Pretty odd that they both would fail at the same time.

I have never seen that.

Have you check the CPU yet, too see if the plug is loose??

Mark, I found a replacement S5 turn signal switch and installed it. Now the right signal works as well as the brights, but the left turn signal does not work!?!?!

What do you think it may be? I'm guessing that is is not the switch that is broken, but something else. Maybe the turn signal shut-off mechanism behind the steering wheel? I do have an aftermarked steering wheel and hub, but that has been installed for over a year w/o problems.
