Turn Signal "Flasher" not working

Has anyone had a problem with turn signals (both)being out? It's not the light bulb. I have investigated that it goes to a CPU box on the left interior, next to the foot rest/clutch. Just curious how tough it is to get to it?
Any comments is appreciated.

I am not sure what switch you are referring to? The actual lever that goes up/down at the steering column? If that's the one, would it make the clicking sound faster? I still leaning toward the Flasher unit in the CPU board.

Thx

As covered in other threads, the turn signals flash fast if there is a problem with the lights, such as the wrong bulb, or a burnt out bulb, or bad flasher board in the CPU.

It would not be related to the switch, if the switch turns them on.

Do they flash fast with the Hazard lights as well?

I took out the Flasher Circuit board and resoldered the pads that looked like a cold solder joint- but it did not fix the problem. It could be that a component in the flasher board is bad. I wonder if anyone actually ficed their problem by replacing the Flasher circuit board? Just to recap:
Checked the bulbs
Checked the fuse
Resoldered the pads
Checked the wiring harness
What I have noticed is that when Hazard light switch is pressed the flasher clicking sound is normal- but when Hazard switch is not pressed the flasher clicking sound is very rapid.

Any other suggestions,

Thanks,
MCH

I had the same problem. I bought a used dash and took the switch out of it and replaced my old one. Works fine now..

if you have recently taken things apart and they suddenly don't work anymore just check the connection at the bulbs and make sure everything is clean - this worked for me when I swapped to an S5 nose, after years of not being touched everything was a little nasty down there.

I have both rebuilt flasher boards and whole CPUs available on my website, if you want to go that route

I cleaned the connections on the flasher relay in the CPU that solved my problem.

My model car does not have a rear wiper switch. I am assuming that you are referring to the rear windshield wiper.

Thanks for the advice
