Turn signal doesnt light up with headlights, but works when signaling?

I noticed when I was looking at the front of my car that only my driver side signal is kept on with the headlights, but not the passenger side. The passenger side works when the signal is put on though. Would it be cause of a relay/wiring? Im exhausted and cant think clearly right now. Any help is appreciated.

Just to clarify the above - to hopefully give a little more insight - the bulb in question has two filaments (the tiny wire that glows inside the bulb). When you turn on the headlights, the weaker one lights up. That's part of your parking light circuit. When you turn the signal on, the brighter filament is used, and the flasher turns it on and off.

So basically you have the parking light filament out on the bulb, or there's a bad connection between the socket and the bulb. Apply dielectric grease between the two after cleaning. There could be another cause, but those are the most common.

1157 is dual filament, 1156 is single.
