turn signal
I purchased a turn signal assembly from a member and it has only 2 wires instead of the usual 3.
It would mean it doesn't have blinker. Anyone come across this??

I'm not 100% but aren't the turn signals in our cars single filament bulbs. Meaning it should only have 2 wires. It only goes on and off, it shouldn't stay on while it's blinking. If it were a parking light/turn signal it would have 3 wires, 1 to run the parking lights when you turn them on, 1 to blink the second filament for the blinker and 1 as a ground. But, since it is only an on/off bulb it only has the feed for the blinker and a ground. Maybe somebody can back me up with some technical info from a wiring diagram perhaps.

is it a front or rear assembly? I am assuming front since it is a separate assembly. In which case your right their should be 3 wires, I was referring to the rear blinker wiring harness, that assembly uses only 2 wires a black and green. Maybe you got the wrong wiring harness, maybe he gave you the side marker hardness with the front signal housing.
