TurboXS BOV - annoying as crap, can I adjust it?

Ok, the TurboXS BOV on the car I just bought is annoying as crap, it makes that annoying fluttering sound (sounds like "do do do do...") every freaking time I let off the gas, and I'm not about to listen to that every frigging time.

Does anyone know of ANY way (besides outright changing it) that I can make it not sound like that? I've searched and some people said adjusting the spring too hard might make it make that sound, is that correct? And if I loosen it, will that cause any problems (it's been tuned on a Haltech E6K specifically for the setup that's on it now)

how many washers do you have in right now? I have the RFL and mine did that when i first bought it also. The prob was that i didnt have it hooked to a large enough vac line, i have it hooked to the large nipple on the back of the manifold and with it set very loose with no washers i still get a nice whoose and no fluttering at all, even when that loose.
If that is not it, try tightening it up with some washers

The Turbo XS has washers it uses to adjust the spring pressure. If you are fluttering, the spring probably has too many washers on it.

Fluttering is usually the sound of compressor surge.

Not sure why anyone would like that sound.

Doesn't the Turbo X's one come with different springs. So you can set the maxium boost your able to put out and how much excess pressure you have.

yeah it's got washers to adust it, the stupid manual says nothing about fluttering, it just says "if the exhaust ports aren't open during idle, or the car isn't idling badly, then it doesn't need any adjustment... if they are open at idle, stuff some more washers in there and make it more stiff..." crappy TurboXS... off to read some more on the topic elsewhere...

I've had the Turbo XS Type-S for almost 3 years now. I installed it in the stock location, didn't have to use any washers and it has worked flawlessly for me since day 1. I think it's a great unit for the price.

Just take a couple washers out, see if the BOV stays closed at idle, if it doesn't put a washer back in, if it does then go for a run and see if it still flutters. If it still flutters try taking another washer out, check it at idle and do another run.
