Turboii Fuel And Pumps

I'm new to turbos, and thick headed, so bare with me. I have a stock pump that delivers 71 to 92 psi. I have a fuel regulator(stock) that regulates pressure from 28psi to 50psi. I'm driving down the road, fuel pressure gauge tie wrapped to the wipers, max boost (approx 9psi today, its 70 degrees), about 130mph, and the fuel gauge says 50psi. Now explain to this thick head why I need another fuel pump. Remember, I'm stuck in a rut. I see a pump that puts out 71-92 psi, a stock regulator that delivers 50psi at max boost and does not deteriorate with my foot planted on the floor. Am I not pushing the car enough??? Note: I don't race, don't plan to. Not a SCCA member or IHRA. Oh, wideband meter on the way. No faith in picking the voltage off a 02 sensor that isn't linear and is only reliable around stoich. And the car is a 87TURBOII. Autometer boost gauge. Digital volt meter velcro'd to the idiot light panel tied into the ECU, 02 output.
