Turbo Vert Project: Swap FC 13BT Engine Cross Member with NA?

I have an 89 S4 NA Vert that is in the process of being swapped to an S4 Turbo engine. After doing the rear end swap, sensors, harness, ecu etc I am ready for the engine/tranny but I was told that the NA vert cross member differs from the turbo one used in the hardtop.......SO my question is can I swap one in from the 13BT hardtop? Is it a bolt on affair or is there some grinding involved? I'm sure this has been covered but could find nothing but swap threads for the engine so I apologize in advance for asking what has most likely been asked before.

Thx

When i did this, I swapped the vert's crossmember onto the turbo tranny, and it bolted right up. No grinding, cutting or anything.

For the engine subframe, you leave the stock one in place, as the vert has the allowance for that fat frame reinforcement underneath. All the FC engine subframes have the same holes otherwise, so there's no reason to swap.

Great......this was what I was hoping to hear. So I should also have no clearance issues with using the vert's crossmember for the Turbo II borla dual exhaust either? Thanks guys for the quick response........

crap, for some reason I misinterpreted your question as referring to the transmission mount brace, not the cross-brace. Yea, definately keep the vert's cross-brace, everything fits.
