Hello to all, I am new and have a question.
Can I upgrade a 88 FC GTU to a turbo? If so what is a good turbo upgrade? Links? I tried search but it is disabled(sorry). Im sure this has been asked before.... so I hope you guys can help.
Also if I can upgrade to a turbo is there anything else I should upgrade/replace at the same time?

 

a stock t04 hybrid turbo is best. Requires no rigging, uses stock stuff, downpipe, etc. It spools up fast and makes plenty of power.

 

it has been done before, I have never done it, and for some reason the people on this forum dont like to answer questions on it anymore because it has been asked many times. I hear it costs more than it is worth.

there are a couple ways to do it.

1. get TII engine and swap out ecu, fuel pump, hood, and parts of (or the whole) drive train.

2. replace intake manifold, and modify the exhaust, and I think for this one you would also need to upgrade the fuelpump and ecu.

these are the 2 ways I can see to turbo your n/a. the search feature should be back sometime and I suggest you search on this topic because there is a lot of info on here about it already.
anyway, just trying to point you in the right direction.

Ive done it. The details are in the mod list. I am optomistic. There is anouther guy who has done it. But I have a streetport
