Turbo Suggestions?

The car is undergoing the next development phase which is bigger IC (V-mount) 24"x12"x3", uprated radiator, uprated fueling (4x1000cc + bosch 040), Blitz Boost Controller and a bigger turbo.

Now the question is which turbo to go for? I want a GOOD turbo not a cheap dodgy fleabay piece of crap, but I don't have unlimited funds (so the HKS T51KAI might be a bit too much cash). My tuner is looking at a T70 which is a nice turbo, but I am open to other suggestions.

The car is mainly used on the street (not daily driver) and some drag meets, so I want a turbo which can produce the power without massive lag!

400rwhp would be a good target

engine is a 1/2 bridge with small streetport (r-magic template!) on the primaries

Anything from precision turbo. The highest hp number on this forum have been dominated by PT turbos. They do a lot of r & d in the drag racing world and build all there own stuff in house they are not a wholesaler. They also have the best prices and warrantee I could find when I was in the market.

be sure to get a large exhaust side with that bridge...you don't want to choke off all the money spent on the port job.

a 1.15 should spool excellent on a bridge and give you good boost up top.

I was aiming at 1.06 A/R or higher so that kind of works out.

thanks

Yeah you can buy from them. If I had the port job you do I would be looking at a PT70 thru PT76. Oh and I a looking forward to your high 500 rwhp dyno sheet.

P trim 35R compressor section should have no problem doing that.
We sell Garrett turbos if you need one.

I would go with the GReddy TD06-20G. THere are some threads on TeamFC3S about it. T70's and T51 sound kinda big, it will cost moar. Depends on your budget, I guess.

That greddy kit would run out of breath on the top end with his porting. And I hate to tell you anything with the names greddy or hks will be double the price.

My PT67 was built to my custom specs for just over 1k. Oh yeah and they give you a 100% 1 year no questions asked warrantee. The key is they build all there own stuff so if it breaks they are not playing middle man bullshit while you are left without your turbo for 6 months to a year.

Thanks guys, looks like I'll be going for either a PT70 or the T70 my tuner is looking at then... So lets workthis all out $$$$$ big IC - check, big turbo - check, 4000cc of fueling - check, fuel pump - check, Microtech - check, boost control - check standard brakes - oh ****!

Having looked into it further, my tuner in the UK suggests that I go for the Turbonetics T72, which should be nice and free flowing (cost-wise it'll work out about the same as shipping a PT70 from the US) I'll be posting the results towards the end of the year once it's all done (and paid for lol! )

manifold: HKS cast item
radiator: toyo
IC: ******* massive V-mount
wastegate: 60mm HKS type

Here are a few pics. These are a couple of years out of date but the exterior hasn't changed much since the white 17" rims were added
