Turbo Suggestion Please

I have recently had a change of heart. Before I was going to leave my car as a daily driver and just run a hybrid setup at low boost and aim for 300whp. But lately it has been giving me troubles and Im buying another car as a daily driver because my 7's just wont work. Now I have decided I want to make it a weekend fun car and go for larger numbers. I wont be driving it at the track much so Im not too worried about super early spool, but I also dont want a turbo that only makes big power over 6,000rpm either. What would some of you guys recommend for a bridgeported engine aiming for 400-500whp? I was thinking maybe a 60-1, but maybe there is a better one out there. It'll be going on an HKS cast manifold. Thanks

the 60-1 is ok. Also you can use a T66 or a T70. The important thing is that the exhaust side would be not more that a/r .90. Remember with a bigger turbine exhaust, more is the turbo lag. My friend in his car with a 1991 13b turbo engine with a T-70 and bridgeported modification in the engine he makes 736hp on a chassis dyno. And, his car is a daily driver. The only adjust the boost.

What about T61, anyone here running one? Arent most of the T70 series built for like 700hp+?

I also forgot to mention Im looking to see full boost (probably no higher than 16-18psi) by around 4,500 or less if possible. Ouside of a few Garrett turbos Im not to knowledgable.

maybe one of the fastest. I would just go streetport but If Im going larger turbo and bigger power why not go ahead and bp. plus im looking for more power in the upper rpm's. This probably wont start taking shape for another several months as my income is crap right now, but as soon as i get some money rolling in im gonna drop the engine again and begin with it, then buy all of the parts ill need (standalone, manifold, turbo, custom exhaust and all of the other goodies associated with the build). I finally saw the light, why go modest numbers with a car thats only suited for weekend driving. So Im going all out. Im only worried about tuning but I know enough people around here that could give me a hand

How about GT3582R? Seems to be a quick spooler capible of over 450-500hp. Anybody? a/r 1.06 turbine and .70 compressor. So far Im really liking the T61 though. Good price and seems to be about what Im looking for, but then again Im not 100% sure.

i considered BP but i dont want that much power just yet ( given im still in high school and and i cant afford to go all out just yet)...im going with a medium streetport and then once the engine is broken in im gona go full haltek, one of my buddies with a 240 was tellin me about a guy who can tune halteks pretty well so hopefully ill be getting some help with the install and tune from him.

yeah i hear ya. i would go that route but i just dont give a damn anymore I have no reason to not go all out, so all out it is. After reading up some more and browsing the web I think Ive narrowed to the T61, or maybe 60-1 as they perform pretty much the same. Both under $1000 and both easy to find. That along with a Haltech, 720 primary and either 1300 or 1600 secondaries and whatever boost i feel like running. Im not strictly aiming for any specific number, but want to see no less than 400whp at the dyno. I figure that should be a cake walk with a 61
