Turbo starter on NA car?

I'm in desperate need of a starter and the earliest I can get one from the dealer is Tuesday. A friend has a spare turbo starter, spare auto starter and a spare 12a starter. Would any of these work on my 5speed N/A?

the 12A starter may be a slightly loose fit but i could be thinking old school 13B truck/sedan starters, though those will interchange with a turbo transmission and not an n/a. the turbo starters won't fit an n/a transmission, they are oriented backwards.

only one way to find out.

The auto starter will work, this is the new fad which has been documented on here recently as the "high power" starter.

Will it work on the NA trans? I've seen it work on a turbo trans before.

Doh, brain fart. Sorry, I always assume everyone on here has a TII or a butchered up NA.

The starters are different and the splines are too...the flywheels are a different size so this adds up to NO.
Only thing that would be interchangeable is a AUTO N/A starter with a TII starter. The auto flex plate and TII flywheel are the same over all physical size and geared the same.,

Just for posterity, if you want a more powerful starter, you can get an rx8 starter and plop the FC NA nose on it.

The motor for the turbo & NA starters are the same, so if you use the nose from the NA on the motor body from the turbo, it will work. I've done the opposite and it worked for years in my turbo swapped vert
