I'm not the guy to ask. I put brand new OEM corner seals in my motor recently, and the plugs were already installed. I think solid corner seals are pointless on most builds. It's regressive; it's moving backwards in the evolution of the rotary engine, despite the plug's seemingly limited lifespan. Mazda has improved the corner seal plug in the Rx-8 Renesis engine.

so.....if i port the engine i pretty much need to switch to an aftermarket ecu?? I am not really overly concerned with the debate on corners and plugs since i am haveing that done by someone who has been doing rx7 racing of all kinds for about 25 years. I am looking for what I need to do to gain more hp and torque and what components i am looking to buy in addition to what I have already considered. This post is to get some ideas on what power is to be expected from the setup i posted and if there are any other power or management suggestions to be made to me. Thanks guys for all the input.

this leaves two options
1. leave the ports stock, run the exhaust and have a fun car
2. port the motor, buy ecu, and still be limited by the stock turbo

1) a tight clearance that restricts movement of the apex seal in at least one dimension, resulting in additional blowby
2) a loose clearance that allows additional blowby
the corner seal plug and groove are a compromise.
