Turbo Shaft Play and TID Question

okay so my TID (turbo inlet duct) is cracked so im replacing that but ive been looking for an aftermarket one (aluminum, bigger, better, etc.) but cant find one. also since my turbo has shaft play i know it time for either a new one or rebuild the one i have know but the thing is i dont know where i can get a turbo rebuild in Los Angeles (not a big issue since i havent really researched this yet). but i wanted to know if its a better idea to get an aftermarket one that spools better, or is better in any way possible but not bigger since i am not looking for boost pressure higher than 10-12 psi.

check the archives for a do-it-yourself TID. people make them out of an Ebay cold air intake for a Honda Prelude. as for turbos, you might want to look into a BnR Hybrid.

hope that helps a little,
TR
