is it worth changinr over to a 89-91 manifold and turbo so i wont boost creep or will p0rting the wastegate work good

 

i believe it would be worth it to buy the 89-91,,it is a much better waste gate design,,people have had luck with porting the 87-88 but the 89-91 is so much better

 

you cant use an 89 manifold with an 87-88 turbo. You'd need to swap the whole thing over. Porting the wategate should fix your boost creep problem.

 

I ported mine and it solved my problem. You should only run into problems if you get a hybrid...different compressor side of the turbo and keep the stock echaust side...even with a ported wastegate you MAY have boost creep issues then.
