hey guys i wanted to know how to fix a turbo with shaft play? and exactly what it was. like obviously the shaft wiggles but like what make it do that..

 

Rebuild the turbo. Replace the journal bearings, thrust bearings and seals.

Edit...Keep in mind that some shaft play is normal. You can wiggle the shaft of nearly any turbo (the massive play on new GT series BB turbos always freaks me out) but the wheels should not come close to contacting the housings.
