Turbo Question

I'm goingto be buying a new turbo and engine in December, I was wondering what you guys think of running a half-bridge with a T-70? I'm looking mostly for raw streetable power, but still would like to carve the mountains in Colorado. Would 550s and 1600s work fine for this setup? Should I upgrade my ignition and up my redline? This is all new to me and searching would take me hours upon hours. So if you gurus would like to answer my questions and tell me to search next time, I would definitely appreciate it..

T70 = similar to HKS T51R Kai = LAG! (for driving around town anyways...)

When it comes to turbo-sizing, you pretty much have to state how much hp you are looking for and whether you want more linear power delivery, or you want it all to come at once, and when you will want full-boost (have to be reasonable at this).

Hrm... I'm also interested. What turbo for 300-350hp with nice smooth linear power and minimal lag - sound reasonable enough? How about throwing in full boost at about 4k?

You can do that with a hybrid turbo, but I don't recommend that.

I would say either a T04E 57-trim or T04E 60-trim. Go with a P-trim turbine wheel and .81 collected or .84 divided turbine housing A/R (depending on whether you have a undivided manifold or a fully divided manifold) for a stock port motor. With a streetport, go with either a .96 collected or a 1.00 divided... also P-trim turbine wheel.

You should be able to get at least 300rwhp @ 10-15psi on the above suggested set-up depending on your ports. Boost should be quite linear, especially with the smaller turbine housing A/R's. You should get full boost somewhere between 3000-3800rpm (I say such a wide RPM range that full boost will come-on because there a several factors that will determine how soon full boost will come, but those turbos mentioned above should get full boost before 4000rpm).

BTW, I'm over in South Pasadena and my friend lives over in Monrovia... I just sold my TII and my friend still has his

If you're talking about that Master Power or Stone Racing T70, it's a piece of crap turbo.
