i am affraid to do the TID mod and get rid of the stock catback cause i think its gonna put me over 12 lbs... (should i be hitting 8psi constantly with just a cone filter, DP, and straightpipe?) and creeping to 10 in the cold?

i'm almost affraid to do the TID mod now cause i know its gonna jack me up another 1 or 2 psi, and catback would be another 1-2 psi.

With the stock wastegate after I did my baby TID mod I was seeing 11-12 pounds...in first lmao! New boost levels are like:
1st 7 pounds
2nd 8 pounds
3rd 8.5-9
4th 9 maybe quick creep to 10
I can't wait to get a real catback and a profec b set to 12 pounds.
what catback do you have on there now?
and those are the exact same boost numbers i'm seeing...
this makes me think i can hit 13.8 too!

DON'T do the TID mod until you get a s5 wastegaste/mannifold on the car...or port the absolute **** out of the wastegate!!! I was getting similar levels of boost on my dp/mp with just cone filter. Port the wastegate big time, then use a ebc/mbc to raise the boost back up. Today I should be getting the n1 single from UPS and I'll boost a topic on it when I get a chance.

dood I cant believe nobody here did high 12s in thier turbo with stock intercooler exc...the N/A owners have droped more time in thier cars. Man If I had a turbo a year ago it would be beating C5 corvettes by now. Whats up guys. I shaved 1.5 seconds off my stock N/A times that would put a turbo at 13.3 with way less effort. Cant wait to see what my N/A turbo conversion will do.

Good luck with the conversion. The faster you get the harder it is to "shave time". Cutting another 1.5 sec off a 13.3 sec car would put it in the 11s...

Agreed. On our TII we had pretty much a straight through exhaust and cone filter and we saw 8-10 psi depending on what gear and outside temps. We ported the S4 wastegate so much that you could actually see light around the flapper. Installed the TID and boost went to 13psi really quickly, and that was in 2nd gear. Too bad we didn't have enough fuel, 13psi was AWESOME!

If you have the fuel all is cool!!!!!!!!

not to mention I pay for school and an apartment at 19, and I've only had my car for 7 months!
