Turbo NA Questions: Injectors, Fuel Controller, Fuel Pump?

is it MANDATORY to use TII injectors and fuel pump and ecu?
or would it be okay to run it on my stock NA injectors and fuel pump and ecu?
i havent came across any yet which is the reason why i debating on it.
same for a fuel controller, is the SAFC an optional piggy-back. or is it mandatory?

i've read the write-ups in the archives, aswell as Aaron Cakes.
but most of them used the TII injectors and such.
just curious what the gurus opinions are on this.

edit:
i was also thinking about the FB injectors.. there are 3 at my local Junkyard that i can pick up some of their injectors.?

i have an 87 with the fuel solenoid bolted to under the AFM if it matters in using the FB injectors or not?

No. You can use any larger injectors you like, and any upgraded fuel pump (such as the FD, Walbro, etc.)

You can get by with the NA ECU if you ad a piggyback but of course the TII ECU is already set up for boost...

or would it be okay to run it on my stock NA injectors and fuel pump and ecu?
No, no and yes.

You're kidding?

You need something to control fuel, whether it be a piggyback or standalone.

Only the secondaries will fit, and they are 850CC. The primaries are side feed.

The FD injectors are high impedance.

Just a personal opinion, but I think what you should do, is print out this page. Then turn the page over and read the instructions on how to do it.

550CC Primary, 720CC secondary, Walbro pump. Exact setup always depends on your goals...

so just drop my secondarys in the primaries and use the GsL-SE injectors?
as for the ECU, what i meant is that i havent come across one at a local junkyard. not in general. i've seen them on ebay. but skeptical over the price seeing as i've bought a ECU for around 20 bux at a local yard as opposed to paying $50+ excluding shipping off of ebay.
as for the fuel pump. is there any alternatives to the FD and walboro (just curious).
i can probably pick the FD pump up from the parts store locally.
if i were to get the TII ECU of my model what else should i be getting to get that ECU to work right on with my harness. or is it a simple swap in?

Huh?

NA injectors are 460CC primary and secondary. TIIs have 550CCs all the way around.

GSL-SE injectors are 680CC.

There are many fuel pump options but unless you want to search all the OEM applications, it's easiest to stick with the standards. All aftermarket companies make upgraded fuel pumps.

Get the TII ECU to match the series of car. It's a simple swap with the addition of a few wires (search, including the name HAILERS or NZConvertible).

okay thanks for all the advice aaron.
for some reason, i had it stuck in my head that i had 550cc injectors.. lol.
i'll go ahead and order the ecu and 550 injectors. and i'll go and pick up the GSl-se 680s and drop them in place of the secondaries.
would the SAFC even be necessary for the TII ecu?
just double-checking. running the 680cc on my 87 will be okay even tho i have the fuel solenoid right?

Fuel solenoid? You mean fuel solenoid resistors? Yes, it's OK. The job of the injector resistors is to match the impedance of the injector to the ECU. Cars with solenoid resistors are low impedance, cars without are high.

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/4-Maz...spagenameZWDVW

the only reason i see putting the 550cc in the primaries would be due to their constant useage right? save on gas i assume..
that ebay link has 4 880CC injectors.
would i just simply need to tune my fuel if i were to drop those in?
or would it still be running ridiculously rich?

You may have starting problems using the stock ECU and 880CC injectors.
